Random Punctuation Rant

So, I heard someone say that "plurals are not formed with apostrophes."

Well, I disagree. How stupid would it be to write the following sentences this way?

How many ss and is are there in the word Mississippi?
And from Webster's 9th, page 1538 (which uses apostrophes for plurals) ...
Would you really want to say --
You should dot your is and cross your ts.
His ls and 7s looked alike.

The apostrophe is necessary for certain plurals.

Underwater bridge pic

This is a bridge in China on the Yangtze River. It would have been demolished to clear the river before the rising waters resulting from construction of the Three Gorges Dam. The picture is just to show how high the water will be and how much of the Gorges would be underwater now. China has built the dam that will be the enviornmental disaster of the future.
